I send all my new families home with a start up bag of items to help you get your new puppy or doggie transitioned into the new setting.  Items includes Fromm kibble (enough for a few days), a few treats, small blanket, toy and chew, 3 or 4 potty pads (Costco brand are my favorite), starter leash & collar if pup/dog is of size/age to wear one (I recommend families get dog/pup fitted for a harness).  Written materials include Puppy info on schedules, potty training, health care, grooming, Puppy reminders, Copy of Adoption/purchase agreement, AKC registration (if applicable) Microchip info, Vaccination record and a packet with AKC information, registration, reunite microchip registration, 

Three Important Reasons to Register your Pup or Doggie

1.  It establishes you as the owner and immediate contact person.
2. Your contact info is available in network incase your dog is lost or stolen
3. Gives you access to a variety of resources through Akc, puppy development, training, health information, etc
